Villa Kuk, a nearly 200-year-old stone house, was lovingly renovated in 2016 and 2017 under the guidance of one of Croatia’s most acclaimed architects, known for designing the renowned Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb. The renovation masterfully blends traditional craftsmanship with modern comfort, creating a space that is both timeless and contemporary. Local artisans preserved the original stone structure, while all doors and windows were upgraded with handcrafted replicas of the originals, made from larch wood, traditionally used in coastal island homes for its durability and suitability.
